Go to the shopElevate your candle-making game with this high-quality pigment. Unlike black dye, black pigment makes a true black and is UV-resistant. Pigments are intended to be used ONLY for over-dipping.
Unfortunately, pigments tend to clog the candle wick. Therefore, for optimal results, start by using a black dye to get a base color. Then incorporate a small amount of our black pigment to achieve a true, deep black colour.
When using our black candle pigment, remember to use a thicker wick than usual to prevent clogging and ensure a clean burn. Experimentation is key, so don’t be afraid to conduct your own tests to discover the perfect balance for your candles.
How to use
Add a few flakes of black candle pigment to melted black or purple candle wax. We recommend colouring paraffin wax with black dye before adding the pigment.
Tip
Add the black pigment flakes to IW3F wax to make greys and silvers.
